The Little Egret has only lately become a familiar sight in the UK and can now be found along the south coast and in East Anglia. Depicted here stalking a fish and no doubt holding its leg perfectly still, the Little Egret eats mostly fish (though amphibians, small reptiles, mammals and birds as well as crustaceans, molluscs and insects should all be vigilant when this bird is at large).
