Otter Diving Placemat by Sue Welfare
We are delighted to be stocking artist Sue Welfare’s range of placemats, each one with a stunning design.
The Otter Diving Placemat by Sue Welfare is created from one of the artist’s original hand printed lino cuts. It’s a perfect square size to accommodate dinner plates and in heavyweight melamine with cork backing will protect delicate table tops and table cloths from spills and heat. The laminate surface is practical and wipes clean easily.
Otters were once a common sight in British rivers but suffered a decline in the 1970s due to the pesticides then used in farming. These have now been withdrawn and the otter is making a remarkable come back. That said, they’re secretive and swim low in the water so are hard to spot!
You can mix and match this Otter Diving Placemat by Sue Welfare with other designs or just buy singly! Placemats make an ideal gift for birthdays house-warming and other occasions.
