This beautiful wagtail mug will look fantastic on the family breakfast table or office desk.  It shows two striking yellow wagtails, one perched on a branch and the other offering a leaf in its beak, presumably for nest-building purposes, against a vintage blue background.  A lover of damp marshes, meadows and farmland, the yellow wagtail feeds on insects exposed by the feet of livestock.  Their cup shape nests are built at ground level or in long grass,  using plants, grasses and stems before lining with fur.  They arrive in the UK in the summer having over-wintered in Africa, and can have up to two broods, each with five or six eggs.
