Designed by the highly skilled print maker and textile designer Kate Heiss, the Butterflies and Moths greetings card is a feast for the eyes incorporating winged lovelies as well as funghi and plants. We’ve spotted a Rosy Maple Moth as well as an Elephant Hawk Moth and a Scarlet Tiger (though it could be a Jersey Tiger!).
The artwork for the Butterflies and Moths greetings card has been created using lino cut printing and heavy debossing (imprinted shapes) on board sourced from one of the oldest paper mills in the country, in the Lake District.

The blue-grey, white and chestnut-coloured nuthatch is an avian acrobat, able to descend head-first and hang upside down beneath twigs and branches. Nuthatches will sometimes plaster mud around the entrance of their nesting hole, which makes it smaller and less accessible to competitors and predators. It also gives them their alternative name of mud dabbler or mud stopper!
