This beautiful clock features a Hare. With their large hind legs and distinctive long, black-tipped ears, hares can run at up 45 mph when escaping danger. The females are known for their spring-time boxing. When the attentions of the male are unwanted and subtler communications don’t hit the spot, the female will make clear her disinclination for his attentions, and will resort to physical means if necessary!
The Hare clock design is based on an exquisite watercolour illustration by Jill Perkins superimposed on a woodcut style background pattern of leaves, ferns and florals.
