This exquisite, collectors’ edition Avocet Print by Fay’s Studio shows an avocet wading and – no doubt – fishing.
Avocets are an East Anglian post-war success story having been absent from British coastal wetlands for half a century thanks to over-enthusiastic Victorian egg hunters! The distinctive up-turned beak is used in a swaying motion to stir up fish and crustaceans.
The print, which is square and mounted on off-white board, is part of an unlimited run by Fay Miladowska, individually hand-finished by the artist.
