This card features two magnificent Hoopoes, one with raised crest, nibbling on berries. A rare sight in Britain, since only around 100 land on the south coast of England during their annual migration north from Africa to Europe, hoopoes are solitary feeders. They arrive in the UK in late April and May, and may also be seen in the autumn between August and October.
