Poppies

This beautiful single-sided cushion is based on Robert Gillmor’s iconic artwork, and would fit well in a garden-room, sitting-room or bedroom. The red-legged partridge was introduced to Britain in the 17th century and is far more often spotted than the now rare Grey variety.  Small groups of the bird are often seen outside the breeding season and are known as coveys.   In this striking illustration by Robert Gillmor, the Partridge’s distinctive red eye and beak are echoed in the crimson of the meadow poppies in the background.
